Animal Communication and Energy Healing

Hi and welcome! My name is Jamie. The path to animal communication and energy work hasn’t been a linear one for me. However, there has been one constant in my life, and that is a deep love for animals since childhood. Cats in particular hold a special place in my heart. I was the kid who asked for cats for every birthday and made do with imaginary pets until I finally got my first cat at age 8.

I was introduced to the idea of animal communication in 2019 while on a quest of self discovery. In 2021, I took the plunge and joined the Animal Mastery Program with Communication With All Life University (CWALU). With Joan Ranquet, I learned Animal Communication, EFT/Tapping and Scalar Wave. One year later, I joined the Teacher Trainer program becoming the first Canadian teacher with CWALU. It was through these classes that I realized that I have always been communicating with animals but just didn’t recognize it for what it was. I thought that I was getting these “knowings” purely from observation and didn’t understand that other senses and intuition were at play.

My interests have always been varied. I have taken many courses over the years including interior design, pottery, painting, Theta healing, reiki, and acupressure. I am an avid traveler and gardener. Crystals, essential oils and other healing modalities fascinate me. There are so many things to learn and explore!

One constant in my professional life has been engineering. I have spent the last 20 years working as an engineer, manager and leader in the utility industry. My experience has involved aspects of the industry ranging from engineering and design, operations and maintenance, emergency management, occupational health and safety, regulatory code development, conference planning, and asset management. I have a BSc in Chemical Engineering, a BA in French Literature, and certificates in Business Analysis, Emergency Management, Asset Management and Non-Profit Management. You could say I’ve been a continuous learner both professionally and personally!

I have been a long-time volunteer with the MEOW Foundation, a no-kill cat shelter in Calgary, Alberta. My favorite role is socializing which is working with shy and feral cats to help them to learn to trust humans. I have also worked with MEOW as a cleaner and an adoption assistant. I am also part of the OHS committee creating MEOW’s OHS program and manual, Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Emergency Management Plan (EMP).

I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada sharing my home with 5 cats and a number of fish. My belief is that no house is a home unless there is an animal in it. I believe Animal Communication and Energy Healing can help to deepen the bond and love between a human and their animal. By healing and communicating with our animals, we can also heal ourselves. I truly believe this as I have experienced it myself.

What's in a name?

The name Five Tails Communication is in honor of my five cats (Cammie, Skyler, Eve, Claire and Battlecat) who inspired me to start my journey with Animal Communication and Energy Healing. Battlecat was living with cancer and Eve was suffering arthritis and pain in her hips. I really wanted to be able to help them in every way I could which led me to Animal Communication and Energy Healing with Joan Ranquet and her school, CWALU.

I was able to connect with Battlecat while she fought her cancer to be able to see how she was doing and to monitor where she was on her journey to the rainbow bridge. For Eve, the energy work I have been learning, along with care from her vets and other practioners, helped tremendously to reduce her pain and irritation levels in her hip area. I have gone from not being able to touch her hind quarters without her crying and shrinking away, back to full on base of tail scratches – her favorite!

The skills I have been learning and practicing have also helped tremendously with the integration of my two newest family members – Paisley and C.C. Every day, within my own home and family, there are so many opportunities for me to put these skills into practice and to deepen our relationships.
